First of all, the burden of proof is not upon me to disprove "global warming". In science, the person who presents the theory that is outside the current body of knowledge, must prove it. In the same way, it is not my duty to prove there is not God. The person saying "there IS a God", must prove it to me. The burden of proof is upon the one presenting the new theory.

If you can prove the following things to me, then i'll believe it. but so far i have seen no scientific evidence to prove these things:

1) Global Warming is occurring. You must prove that across the entire GLOBE, temperatures are rising...EVERYWHERE. In other words, the entire planet is heating up. So far the evidence pointing to this is circumstantial or biased towards a small time period or certain location. (Keep in mind that weather is a chaotic system and cannot be modeled with linear systems)

2) Global Warming is a problem. Even if you prove global warming is occurring, you must prove that it is a problem. In other words, how do you know it's not just another natural climate change that the earth goes through. The sentiment that "climate change" is somehow negative is ridiculous because the climate changes ALL THE TIME. It's been changing since the dawn of earth. The sun, the tides, the moon, volcanoes, etc. all have an effect on the way the climate changes on the earth. There have been coolings and warmings throughout the history of the earth.

3) If you prove it is occurring, and it is a problem, you must prove the last thing. HUMANS ARE THE CAUSE. Most greenhouse gases are simply water vapor caused by natural earth processes like geothermic activity. carbon dioxide is somewhere in the 3rd or 5th place in that list. And you can't simply show a line of human development, and a line of carbon dioxide increases and then a line of increased temperature and assume there is causality. there may be correlation, but not causality. Proving causality is much more difficult than just overlaying graphs. And as I said before there are millions of factors in climate change. To assume that humans are the sole cause is in my mind ridiculous and naive.

When I see irrefutable evidence and scientific consensus that ALL 3 of those things are true, then I'll believe in global warming. But frankly the evidence isn't there yet. And till then, I'm not going to support any laws or decision-making which inhibits technology or human progress over a theory that has yet to be confirmed.

I personally am not a climatologist or any sort of expert to be able to come up with inconsistencies on my own. This I admit. Thus, I must trust in the science community to do its own intelligent self-verification on the theories of their peers and colleagues.

And currently it is a FACT that there is not a consensus as to whether global warming exists. Thus, GLOBAL WARMING HAS NOT BE PROVEN BEYOND A REASONABLE DOUBT. Thus, I cannot accept it yet as truth.

And unfortunately, not all scientists are unbiased or in the search for noble truth. On either side. Many of the pro-global-warming scientists are heavily paid by liberal organizations and only receive funding if they continue producing results which support the existence of global warming. The same could probably be said of the other side.

But what still remains is a consensus that global warming exists. There is still good evidence against the claims that have been made. And until all those inconsistencies and fallacies are addressed, I, nor any rational person can be expected to take it as truth.

And certainly there are many laws being passed already based upon the assumption that global warming exists and that humans are the major cause. That is irrational. It's like sentencing a man to prison time before the trial is even over. It's absurd.
